ZimUzo Foundation

The phrase Zim Uzo in the Igbo language means "show me the way."

The ZimUzo Foundation is about empowering people who are disadvantaged to take control of their lives and destinies, from the very young to the very old, with particular focus on the young generation. We at the ZimUzo Foundation firmly believe that a child's health, physical and emotional, is indirectly and directly impacted by the social determinants of health around them, from their access to proper schooling, to the health of their immediate surrounding family and community, to direct investment in and mentorship of the children themselves. Children and young people thrive in stable communities, and our goal is to facilitate the process of this population of individuals being able to thrive during such a key time in their life and reach their full potential. Our organization's seeks to do exactly what its name entails: to show the young generation the way by changing the trajectory of their lives through our three-pronged program model, focused on the enhancement of students, schools, and communities.

ZimUzo is currently working in Nigeria, Pakistan, and the United States. Its past and current projects range from providing resources to teach indigent elementary and high school students computer skills, to assisting indigent students with small grants to pay for tuition and educational materials, to funding the repairs of crumbling and unsafe school buildings and orphanages in specific communities in the aforementioned countries. Though completely funded by the founders, ZimUzo is a 501(c)(3) organization and aspires to partner with likeminded individuals and organizations to advance its cause. ZimUzo is a member of the United Nations Ambassadors of Sustainable Development Goals Network and recognized by the Global Peace Chain as a Global Peace Ambassador, advancing world peace by furthering the United Nations sustainability development goals, through quality education, good health and wellbeing, and clean water and sanitation.
